Feel welcomed to join the Free Synergy Mindfulness Community over on Facebook! 🌟 This space is designed for us to connect, support one another, and hold each other accountable for our mindfulness practices and engage in challenges together. Please feel free to share your experience and photos of your activities there. 📸
Our mindfulness challenges are simple and aim to bring more fun and presence into your day. 🎉 Often, we engage in our day with a multitask mindset, but mindfulness is about truly experiencing the moment and allowing our body-mind system to reconnect with the naturalness and contentment of the present moment. 🌼 There is a rich sensory phenomenon happening right before us at all times, but we often miss the intimacy of this sensory present moment by seeking a different experience than this one right here. 🌈 We often miss the precious moments with our loved ones because we are engaged with trying to create something else and seek something we don't have. We often follow hussle culture out of a learned survival mindset.
We have so much to be grateful for. 🙏
I encourage you to step away from technology and immerse yourself fully in the present moment as much as you can throughout the day. 🌞 Explore what’s right in front of you and engage in activities with intention. This might include cooking, playing with your pet or children, eye gazing with a friend, dancing, mindful eating, and more. 🎨 The goal is to focus on the activity with undivided attention. For example, cook without distractions like TV or music, or play with your dog or eat a meal without checking your phone. 📵
You’re also welcome to set personal guidelines for phone and social media use. 📱 For instance, I follow a rule of not using my phone before 10 a.m. and stopping by 8 p.m. each day. During my mornings and evenings, I intentionally create time for play and self-care. May it be journaling, cooking a yummy breakfast, sleeping in, playing with the dog while I make the bed, etc. 🌅
This practice isn't about achieving perfection each time; it's about gradually building a strong foundation and breaking habits that create unnecessary challenges and suffering in our lives. 🌟 By doing so, we aim to embrace more freedom, play, and love.
The good news is that there is no wrong way to do this, so engage intentionally, create your own mindfulness and playful activities, have fun, and share it with us here. 🎉
